Maha Bodhi Students Learn About Dengue Prevention Through NEA’s Project Wolbachia

Students had the opportunity to observe live, non-biting male Wolbachia-Aedes aegypti mosquitoes and explore the mosquito life cycle through its different developmental stages—from egg and larva to pupa and adult. Through these hands-on activities, they gained a better understanding of how Project Wolbachia helps to reduce the spread of dengue in our community.

Mass Games Day (MGD) 2026

On 6 August 2026, our P3, P4 and P5 pupils took part in station games and went head-to-head in Badminton, Freeze Ball, and Dribble Ball! We are so proud of every pupil for giving their best, displaying sportsmanship, and having lots of fun!

National Day Celebration 2026

On 7 August 2026, Maha Bodhi School proudly celebrated Singapore's 61st birthday with a meaningful morning of reflection, gratitude and celebration. We were honoured to welcome our Guests of Honour — Venerable Seck Kwang Phing, Mr Seah Kian Peng, Speaker of Parliament; Mr Goh Pei Ming, Senior Minister of State for Ministry of Social and Family Development and Ministry of Home Affairs and Ms Diana Pang, Member of Parliament — to join us in commemorating this special occasion.

Prefects' Investiture 2026

On 28 July 2026, Maha Bodhi School held its Prefects' Investiture to formally induct our newly appointed prefects into the Prefectorial Board. The ceremony marked the beginning of their leadership journey and reminded them of their responsibility to serve the school community with dedication, integrity and humility.

Racial Harmony Day: Our People, Our Tapestry

Through an engaging assembly programme featuring a Drama Club skit, students reflected on how our different cultures, traditions and experiences come together to form the vibrant tapestry of our nation. Together, these threads make Singapore stronger, reminding us that harmony is built through understanding, respect and appreciation for one another.

Teachers’ Day Visitation 2026

On 3Sep2026, Ex Maha Bodhians can visit their teachers between 11.00 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. Students who are currently studying in secondary schools or junior colleges are reminded to wear their current school uniform during their visit.

Vesak Day Celebrations @ Maha Bodhi School

The Vesak Day celebrations began with the Vesak Day Observance Ceremony on 15 May 2026, where students and staff reflected on the values of gratitude, compassion and mindfulness. The Observance Ceremony included the offering of flowers to Lord Buddha by Venerable Seck Kwang Phing and the School Leaders, as well as the symbolic Bathing of the Buddha Ceremony.

Well Being Week - Bully Free Week

At Maha Bodhi School, our Well-Being Week (Bully-Free) brought learning to life through meaningful and engaging activities that promoted kindness and respect. From interactive assembly skit to meaningful recess activities led by our Peer Support Leaders and Prefects, students deepened their understanding of how kindness can promote positive relationships and the importance of being upstanders.
