Maha Bodhi School marked International Friendship Day 2026 with activities helping students explore different cultures and understand Singapore's role in the world.
Forging Friendships in a Complex World: International Friendship Day 2026
Maha Bodhi School commemorated International Friendship Day (IFD), anchored on the theme “Singapore: Forging Friendships in a Complex World.” We were honoured by the presence of Venerable Seck Kwang Phing, who joined us in the commemoration.
The celebration began with an assembly programme on 6 April 2026 that introduced students to the importance of international friendships and cooperation. In a rapidly changing global landscape, students learnt how Singapore continues to thrive by building strong partnerships and fostering mutual understanding across cultures.
From 7 to 9 April 2026, courtyard activities provided opportunities for students to experience these values in action. Through interactive stations and shared experiences, students explored different cultures and strengthened their appreciation of respect, empathy and harmony.
Through the IFD Commemoration, students deepened their understanding of Singapore’s place in the world and the importance of forging meaningful connections. As caring and compassionate contributors, they are encouraged to build bridges—starting from everyday interactions and extending to the global community.
在复杂的世界中建立友谊：2026年国际友谊日
菩提学校举办了国际友谊日（International Friendship Day, IFD）活动，主题为“新加坡：在复杂的世界中建立友谊”。我们非常荣幸邀请到释广品法师与我们一同欢庆这次的活动。
在4月6这天，活动以一场集会拉开序幕，向学生介绍国际友谊与合作的重要性。在瞬息万变的全球环境中，学生了解到新加坡如何通过建立稳固的伙伴关系，并促进跨文化的相互理解，实现持续发展与繁荣。
2026年4月7日至9日期间，学校庭院设置了一系列互动活动站点，让学生在实践中体验相关价值观。通过多元互动与合作体验，学生探索不同文化，加深对尊重、同理心与和谐共处的理解。
通过本次国际友谊日活动，学生进一步认识到新加坡在国际社会中的角色，以及建立有意义联系的重要性。作为关爱他人、富有同理心的社会一员，学生从日常生活中的点滴出发，积极搭建沟通的桥梁，将友谊延伸至更广阔的世界。
