2026 P1 Orientation Day: A Meaningful Start to a New Journey

Our school warmly welcomed the 2026 cohort of Primary One students and their parents at the P1 Orientation Day held on 13 October 2025.

The event began with an inspiring address by Venerable Seck Kwang Phing, who emphasised the importance of strong home–school partnerships and the shared responsibility of nurturing every child with care and understanding.

Our Principal, Mrs See Lai Kwan, extended a warm welcome to all new students and parents, sharing the school’s mission of nurturing confident life-long learners and compassionate contributors with a deep connection the Chinese culture. She spoke about the school crest, motto, mission, and values, encouraging students to live up to the school motto 敦品励学 — to be steadfast in character and to have a thirst for knowledge. Mrs See also underscored the school’s SAP ethos, which nurtures bilingual proficiency and deepens students’ appreciation of Chinese language and culture.

The school further shared practical tips to support students’ transition from preschool to primary school. Parents received useful guidance on preparing their children for the first weeks of school and were encouraged to partner actively with the school.

This Orientation event offered a warm and meaningful start for our incoming P1 students and their parents, helping students settle in with confidence and preparing parents to support their children’s learning journey ahead.

2026 年小一迎新会：开启全新旅程的起点

我校于 2025 年 10 月 13 日举办了小一新生迎新会，热烈欢迎 2026 年即将入学的小一新生及他们的家长们。

活动一开始，尊敬的释广品法师发表了启发人心的致辞。他强调了家校合作的重要性，呼吁家长与学校携手，以关爱与理解共同支持孩子的成长与发展。

我校邓校长也向所有新同学和家长致以诚挚的欢迎。她分享了学校的宗旨——培养心系华夏文化且自信的终身学习者和怀有慈悲心的贡献者，并介绍了学校的校徽、校训、宗旨与价值观。邓校长鼓励学生们秉持校训“敦品励学”，在日常学习与生活中做到品行端正、勤奋好学。她特别指出，作为特选学校（SAP），我校致力于培养学生的双语能力，并深化他们对中华语言与文化的理解与热爱。

在迎新会上，学校向家长与学生提供了多项实用资讯，协助小一新生顺利适应从幼儿园到小学的过渡。同时，学校也分享了协助孩子适应开学初期的实用建议，并鼓励家长与学校积极合作，共同营造良好的学习环境。

此次迎新会为新生和家长们拉开了小学生活的序幕。它不仅增强了孩子们迈入新阶段的信心，也让家长们为陪伴孩子开启学习新旅程做好了充分准备。
